MODEL AC560A(HC) by Milton Shupe, Scott Thomas, and Andre Folkers and Team Commander

Setting the Realism Settings for the AC560A(HC) to get effects experienced during flight dynamics development and testing:

FS2002/Aircraft/Realism Settings

General = Full Right
P-Factor = Full Left
Torque = 50%
Gyro = your choice
Crash tolerance = your choice

Items of interest:
1. Crosswind handling requires some interesting management techniques shared with us by a senior Commander pilot:

In crosswinds greater than 12MPH, use engine RPM differentiation to best manage taxi, takeoff and landing operations.

For best performance, RPM differences should be 200-300 greater on the upwind side. This offsets the wind effect on the large tail. As rudder deflection is only 15 degrees, the RPM offset eases control and stability.

2. Rollout to Climbout: Rotation and liftoff with 10 degree flaps - To achieve a proper and timely liftoff, set elevator trim to +6 degrees, begin rotation by slowly pulling up the nose at 60 MPH. The aircraft will liftoff at 78 MPH

3. The Commander nose wheel steering is limited to 20 degrees deflection. To assist in taxi and steering, use differential braking assisted by power.

Have fun! :-)
